What is BarCamp?”BarCamp is an international network of user-generated conferences — open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by participants — often focusing on early-stage web applications, and related open source technologies, social protocols, and open data formats. The event will be bilingual, in both English and Thai.

There is no audience, only participants. All participants should give a demo, a session, photos, videos or anything else. All presentation are scheduled immediately before the event by reserving slots at the venue.” - http://www.barcampbangkok.org

The BarCamp experience was quite nice, and I got to network and meet a ton of interesting people, both Thai and foreigners. The presentation topics were very interesting and some of the discussion groups were really valuable. I was surprised at the interest in Web Frameworks and new technologies. I believe that Thailand lags behind the rest of the world in terms of its web development, but seeing the interest and knowledge of some of these young Thai programmers gave me much hope. I hope to find my own set of programmers here in Chiang Mai. I also want to setup BarCamp Chiang Mai, and get a different set of people.

I also met almost the entire staff of http://www.tarad.com and they gave me lots of good information about finding programmers. Very nice, cool people, I hope to meet them again in the future.

All in all I would have to agree with everyone, BarCamp Bangkok was a complete success!

I have two dogs, The golden retriever is Jake, and the Thai Breed is Coco. I got Jake from a breeder and I adopted Coco from the shelter. They are so damn cute. I love just lounging around and spending time with them. They are really wonderful additions into my life, and at first what I thought was a mistake turned out to be something truly wonderful. I love them so much. I’ve updated my gallery and added some new pictures.

This project was lots of hard work but also very fun. I got to get to know some of the most amazing people. I really enjoyed all my time working with Living Films and hopefully in the future when production begins again I will be working IT for Feature Film projects they have. I am excited to work with such intellegent and yet very laid back people. I can honestly say that they are now my friends.
